Jennifer and Grant had their quaint wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge. These sweethearts wanted wanted memorable moments for their closest friends and family. Having a few days in the Rocky Mountains on the stunning lake in November was unforgettable.
While the couple got ready in different cabins I did a bit of scouting hoping for the clouds to lift or open. The lake was not frozen yet and at times showed glimpses of its true emerald color. Joining Jennifer, her daughter and close friends at the cabin just in time for the dresses to be slipped on. We took advantage of the covered decks to capture a few portraits with her ‘man of honor’ and her parents.
I always enjoy the walk from the point cabin to the ceremony site when we pass the lodge and you can see Mt Burgess towering overhead. When Grant first saw Jennifer in her stunning gown his eyes welled. Their sweet ceremony overlooking Emerald Lake was witnessed by their dearest friends and family and followed by a Champaign toast. We captured some family portraits at the ceremony site then the newlyweds and I went for a little stroll around the lake. The snowy scene was very moody with the mountain peaking out now and again. We then drove to the Natural bridge where the sky’s were a bit clearer. Jennifer and Grant were so fun to capture and really seemed to make the most of their quite moments alone while I raced around to capture them from different perspectives. We said our goodbyes after the natural bridge and I headed back to Golden, These love birds had drinks and dinner and all the celebrating with their guests back at the Lodge.
