Lexi and Cooper are adventurers, they fell in love in the mountains and spend every moment they can exploring new ranges on their bikes, skis or in their harnesses. Currently residing in Edmonton they wanted to have their wedding where they could share their love of the mountains with friends in family. The Hillside Lodge and Chalets in Golden B.C. is central to where many of Lexi and Cooper adventures happen. It was the ideal location for their guests to experience their love for each other.
I arrived early to capture Lexi and her girls getting ready. These ladies were so supportive and chill and exactly who you want standing beside you sharing in the joy. Cooper and the boys had a quick tie tying session and were good to go. Lexie had a first look with her Dad and Brothers. There might have been watering eyes from allergies but the boys managed to hold it together. They looked so proud of their little sister.
The guests gathered as the mid day sun heated up. The ceremony site at Hillside Lodge over looks the Blaeberry river and the Rocky Mountains. Cooper and Lexi recited their personal vows and exchanged rings surrounded by their loved ones.
After the ceremony we captured family portraits, then took a lovely walk down to the river with the wedding party. Lexie and Coopers friends were so fun and up for anything including refreshing toe dips in the river. After we finished photos the wedding party was a bit thirsty and we headed back to the Barn for yummy apies, cold beves and yard games.
A fabulous dinner buffet spread catered by Paola Fedow and the drinks being poured by Good Libations. After speeches and dinner it was time for the first dance. Lexie and Cooper chose to make their moves in front of the barn just before sunset. Truly magical. Golden hour came quickly, we went to the field for the last portraits in the fading light. Then the dance party got underway as I got on my way home.
