Tiffany and Nevy are two of the loveliest souls. They share a passion for winter in the mountains and decided Kicking Horse Mountain in February would be the most amazing venue to get married at. KHMR is located outside of Golden B.C. and has the most amazing views of the Purcell Mountains and the Columbia Valley. I arrived at their condo for pre ceremony photos, where I was greeted by a very warm and relaxed vibe. Nevys two daughters were getting their hair done and Tiffany was being helped into her dress by her maid of honor. They did not have a first look, as this was not their first time in their attire. Tiffany and Nevy had all ready officially been married.

When Tiffany contacted me to capture their wedding she explained they were trying to do this as soon as possible because her Father was very ill. Unfortunately he was not well enough to travel when it got closer to the date. So Tiffany and Nevy decided to get married officially before the set date so her parents could witness and be involved. This made for a very emotional day, but these two have such amazing friends and family who lifted them up and made it joyful between the tears.

Tiffany and Nevy lucked out with the weather. Getting married on top of a Mountain anything can happen, and it all did. We had beautiful breaking clouds and sun for the pre ceremony portraits which was an actual pause in one of the biggest storms we have seen this year. To warm up after Tiffany and Nevy greeted every guest as they came into the Eagle Eye Restaurant so they could have a picture with them. The ceremony started at 5 along with the snow flurries. Tiffany and Nevy had all ready legally been married so this was their moment to share their vows with their loved ones, the mountains and a raven who flew by.

Dinner was buffet style and delicious. Speeches were short, sweet and tear inducing. But everyone was looking forward to dancing. And with the help of bubble machines operated by skilled children the dance floor was magic for the first dance. Their close friend who is a DJ packed the floor for an evening of throwing down some moves. I made my leave through the storm, down the gondola to home.
