Samie & Matt @ The Columbia Wetlands Outpost Golden B.C.

Samie and Matt planned their wedding a few years ago. They had everything lined up for 2020 and then like so many couples they had to postpone because of the pandemic. They kept all the same vendors but had to cut the guest list in half. The Columbia Wetlands Out Post is a stunning venue that can accommodate most any size wedding. Samie and Matt actually couldn’t wait to get married and eloped exactly a year ago on top of Heart Mountain but kept it a secret for a whole year. Only their parents and close friends knew. This celebration was actually their one year anniversary but for everyone else it was a magical day of wedding bliss. With all the forest fires happening in the region we lucked out with beautiful blue skies and a very red romantic sunset. During the heat of the day after the ceremony myself and the wedding party went down to the docks on the wet lands to take some photos. It was a relief to be by the cool water of Columbia river was a nice reprieve from the heat. The guests got to enjoy some lawn games and refreshing drinks from Good Libations Mobile Bar service. Dinner was ready when we arrived back at the Red Barn. After an amazing BBQ spread the speeches kept everyone entertained till the Cake was cut and the dancing started. Fueled by Tequila and tunes from DJ MihajicTouch. Samie, Matt and I took a little sunset walk in the field to capture some romantic portraits. Well worth the wander. The party was really starting to get going when I made my exit. I am sure it was a great celebration.

What Samie and Matt had to say about working with Amy

Loved having Amy do our wedding. She was professional and helped work with us through our postponing and all the changes we had to make. Loved her work and she is a great person.
