The Columbia River Out Post was host to Megan and Mathew’s beautiful wedding. The Red Barn at the Out Post is located 20 minutes south of Golden in the quaint community of Parson B.C. Between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains the Columbia river offers dramatic views of both ranges and a cooler location for portraits on a hot day.

Megan an Mathew’s ceremony was officiated by wedding commissioner Suzanne Forbes who always has a soft presence and witty commentary. Attended by their family and close friends and of course their fur baby. After the ceremony myself and the wedding party ventured down to the wetlands to capture some portraits by the cool water of the Columbia river.

We returned to the Lodge at the Out Post where there were drinks and snacks waiting. Put together by their friends. Everyone was enjoying the yard games and the music supplied by Silver City Events & Entertainment.

We managed to catch the sunset in the field for more portraits of Megan and Mathew before dinner. A taco feast put on by the Columbia River Catering food truck on site was delicious as always. After dinner the couple took to the lawn for their first dance. This set the party in motion and I set off home. I am sure everyone had a fantastic evening dancing under the stars.
