Winter weddings are magical and they definitely require unique souls who want to be captured amongst snowy wonderment. Travelling from Calgary, Marta and Alex chose Kicking Horse Mountain as their wedding location with the beautiful Rocky and Purcell Mountains as their magical back drop. The chalet they rented on hill was the perfect venue for the quaint living room ceremony and dinner. With twenty close friends and family their nuptials were very intimate filled with sweet smiles through joyous tears. We captured a few family portraits before we ventured out for the romantic shots. Marta and Alex were so lovely to work with. Alex could barely look away from his beautiful bride so capturing his eyes was a challenge, but I do believe those were the sweetest moments. We ventured around the resort to different locations that offered a diversity of back drops. When we arrived back at the chalet the lovely staff from Whitetooth Mountain Bistro were serving up the appetizers, they looked and smelled amazing. That was my time to head home.

What Marta and Alex had to say about working with Amy
Amy captured our wedding at a cottage in Golden. Without having to go up to the top of kickinghorse, Amy was able to create stunning and dramatic photos from the village on the hill with the mountain and snow landscape. Could not have asked for better photos (which are now blown up in canvases and hanging on my wall). Photos from getting ready, having fun with bridal party, and the ceremony were all excellent. To top that off, Amy’s pricing was terrific and she knew just what to say to ensure we turned out our best in the photos (which is something we def needed!). Amy spent more time with us than I expected and was a complete pleasure to work with.
