An extraordinary day from a photographers view point and the most rememberable wedding ever for the guests. As for Leona and Rob I do believe their special day was beyond their expectations. Leona and her ladies sipped mimosas and enjoyed the view while they got ready in the Eagle Eye suite at the top of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Rob and his daughter Hanna got prepped at the Glacier Lodge at the base of KHMR. The sun warmed the deck for a little tequila sipping with the Grooms peeps as they enjoyed the view of the resort. The ceremony was at 5:30 on the Eagle Eye patio right when the sun was pouring down and the wind picking up, Leona and Rob shared their vows with their family and friends. The love these two have for each other is boundless and even more so for Hanna. The ceremony was the joining of the three of them.
Details I loved about this wedding were; that the design on Robs ring is Leona’s finger print and he wears socks that say ‘I am delicate fucking flower’ with such pride. When Leona walked onto the patio she faced the blowing snow with laughter and embraced the moment for what it was, unforgettable. During the ceremony Leona had vows for Hanna as well as a beautiful heart shaped locket. The buffet and seafood bar were amazing. The contagious amount of laughter that was spread through out the party all night.
Leona and Rob were great to work with they were quick to abandoned their meals and conversations when I told them how stunning the sunset was. They as well braved the cold evening to catch a romantic portrait under the vast starry sky. Overall so relaxed and fun in every moment. It was a very rememberable and stunning day.
