The Columbia River Out Post was host to Laura and Orins quaint wedding. Traveling from their home in Nova Scotia to Beautiful B.C. was the most stressful part because they left as Hurricane Ian hit their town. Planing their wedding from so far away seemed to be the easiest part in retrospect.
The girls got ready at one of the Out Posts cabins. Laura and Orins daughter was too excited to nap, which was nice that she didn’t miss out on these moments with her Mom. And the cutest reveal with her Grandpa. The ceremony at the Red Barn was officiated by marriage commissioner Suzanne Forbes, who always has witty antidotes and a lovely presence. After the ceremony the wedding party and I skirted down to the wet lands on the Columbia River to capture some portraits. The suspension bridge is always the crux for those who are a little skeptical of all things swinging. But this crew had no problems and were able to relax on the docks with a cold beverage while I snapped away.
Everything went smoothly when all they needed was on location by wonderful vendors. A full pig roast dinner provided by the Out Posts crew. Bar service by the wonderful Good Libations drink consultants. They had their own music and kicked up their heels after I departed.
