The mountains around Golden B.C. are moody so when it rains on your wedding day you can’t be too surprised. Genna and Kyle know and love this about the area so they had a plan B for their ceremony. But they did stick to plan A for the reveal regardless. Having a connection with Kicking Horse Mountain Resort as they visit many times a year to ride bikes and boards, they really wanted their reveal to be at the top. We were very fortunate and had a mix of sun and cloud with only a few sprinklings of rain. This cooler weather cleared out the smoke from the B.C. forest fires. Smoke that has been shrouding our mountain town for months. We took full advantage of views with the wedding party joining in on the fun. The ceremony was moved in doors at the Golden Civic Centre where the reception was being held. Genna and Kyle recited their vows on the stage in from of their friends and family. We took family portraits in the park beside the Kicking Horse River. Dinner was catered by The Fire Pit BBQ and Smoke House, a spread of pulled pork and Mac’n cheese. To wash it all down the ladies from Good Libations Bar Service served up some thirst quenchers. I departed before the dancing started but I am sure Wild Bill DJ Service had them throwing down the moves n the dance floor.

What Genna & Kyle had to say…

Amy is so wonderful to work with! She captured our engagement and wedding photos, and they are all stunning!  Amy had no problems hiking or getting down to get that great shot, which makes her an amazing photographer. We are not from the area so any questions or concerns about photography or other she answered quickly to truly made my wedding experience worry free. She has great ideas for photos and they are truly unique. Thank you so much for capturing these beautiful memories of our special day!
