Cori & David, Golden B.C.

Golden is one of Cori and David’d favourite places to visit. David has been coming to their family back woods cabin since he was a kid. Cori and David fell in love during one of their visit to the cabin. So when they planned their wedding they new this special spot had to be the location to celebrate their love. They planned their wedding after David proposed on their visit to Disney World during their travels in Europe for the past year. They contacted me from the Netherlands to capture their special day. They wanted to capture most of their portraits before the ceremony so they had a reveal before. Along side the Blaeberry river with its gushing views and moody skies we captured family and wedding party portraits. We then traveled to one of the most unique places to have a ceremony. A short drive from the back woods cabin the views open up over looking the Rocky Mountains. This was an awe inspiring moment for most of the guests who had never been to this part of B.C. before. The ceremony was guided by wedding officiant Hans Lenstra. Cori and David recited thier vows, which along with the views had all their guests teary eyed and smiling. Their furry friends where adorn in tuxes and took part in most of the wedding party shenanigans. After a few more captures and toast the wedding party was the last truck to leave for the reception. Meanwhile back at the cabin the Bar was open and the BBQs where hot. With Cori and Davids Fathers flipping burgers, other family preparing the salads and the ‘kiss ski’ being toped off it was the beginnings of a good party. David was really excited to get the music going after dinner, speeches and cake . He had created a dance floor amongst the trees with a DJ booth that lit up. It was where he and his wife Cori had their first dance and I am sure everyone rocked it out to the wee hours.
