Caitlyn & Ryan Kicking Horse Mountain

Kicking Horse Mountain was the perfect mid point location
for Caitlyn and Ryans families to come together
and celebrate their love.

Caitlyns family residing from Alberta and Ryans from the west coast it was a stunning compromise. These love birds flock to the mountains whenever they can, so they have often visited Kicking Horse and wanted to share this with the people they love as well.

The ceremony on the Eagle’s Eye patio was guided by Hans Lenstra. The couple receipted their personal vows surrounded by the moody Purcell Mountains. A champagne toast with extraordinary views and so much love.

Caitlyns passion for baseball was incorporated into the theme of the wedding, right down to her sneakers. Which came in handy when running the bridal party around the mountain to capture the dramatic views. At one point as the thunder was heard off in the distance a slight sprinkle came down with a wee bit of snow. Brrr in August is true Mountain life.

Before the reception, Caitlyn and Ryan really wanted to take a quick break (for it) and head into town to capture some photos on Golden’s timber frame bridge. This was a quick outing with an amazing rainbow following us. So of course we had to capture it.

All the guests were happily being taken care of by the Whitetooth grill staff and, of course, the amazing day of wedding planner Sue from Golden Dreams Weddings & Events. Buffet dinner had folks go back for seconds and the desert table as well. Caitlyn and Ryan had the sweetest choreographed first dance that I am positive someone got on video. There was a tossed bouquet and garter and that was when it was time for me to go. The party was getting started.
