The Upper Ranch was a stunning location for Brenda and Jarod’s rustic barn wedding. Located a short drive from Radium Hot Springs it was convenient for guests. Having a bus driver made it easy for everyone to get home.
I truly love the reveal. When the couple has a moment to relish in the first look, take in a breath with every glance and sneak a kiss or two. The timing for their wish list of photos was ideal after these love birds had a moment ruffling their plumage.
Brenda and Jarod love spending time in Radium and had some locations they wanted to capture. Over looking the Columbia River with the Purcell Mountains in the background was a must. The Canyon into the park was tricky but we managed to dodge the traffic. There was the Red cliffs as well that turned out to be a really unique back drop. Of course having our own personal driver made getting from one photo location to the next supper easy and traveling with their entourage. After our photo tour we journeyed back to the Ranch for the ceremony. The weather was moody all morning but when it came time for the vows the sky started to lift. The guests were bathed in the warmth of the sun as the clouds drifted over the mountains and Brenda and Jared said their ‘I do’s’.
The Barn has an ideal lay out. A bar was set up on the back deck for folks to take in the sun set and all 120 of them seated comfortably inside. Cafe Allium out of Invermere had an amazing spread set up on the buffet downstairs. The sugar cookies for dessert were made by Brendas Aunt, they were absolutely stunning and devoured. Music was provided by Wild Bills DJ service out of Calgary, they had everyone on the dance floor till the wee hours.
I met Brenda and Jarod during our engagement session this past winter. They came out to Golden during a snow storm which made it difficult to capture the surrounding mountains which they had hoped would be the back drop. I am sure we accomplished that this time.
