Wapta Falls in Yoho National Park was the amazing back drop for Kyles proposal to Emily. They did the hike a few years ago and Kyle thought this would be a stunning location to pop the question. Kyle reached out to me weeks ago to help plan the surprise. They would be in Golden, enjoying spring time in the mountains. Hiking into Wapta falls can either be icy or muddy at this time of year, luckily for us it was just a little of both. I had my dog Chico with me for company on my hike , and so there wouldn’t be any suspicion when I was asked to take a picture with his phone. Not many professional photographer take their dog on a shoot. It went so smoothly at first Emily thought Kyle was joking around but very quickly caught on to the seriousness of his smile. Emily of course said ‘yes’. We were fortunate with the typical spring weather, that is a little bit of everything and Emily got to open the bubbly in the sunshine.
