Emerald Lake was the stunning location of Paula and Liams Engagement session. Liam proposed to Paula when they stayed at Emerald Lake this past spring. That was the first time they had both been to this little gem of a spot in Yoho National Park. She of course said yes and the couple plan to be married next year in Ontario, where most of their family and friends are. We had a nice walk around to the opposite end of the lake where we felt like the only people in the mountains. The wind had a bitter tinge to it as it gusted off the lake. The fresh snow on the Rocky Mountains added definition and brightened the photos. With a few more locations in mind we walked back to get warm and drive to the Natural Bridge. Paula and Liam had not been to this natural wonder before and were impressed at how amazing it is. I was thrilled at the timing, the crowds had left and the setting sun peaked out from under the darkening sky. The water of the kicking Horse River is such a brilliant tone this time of year. We finished our session along the river up stream from the quaint town of Field B.C.
