Steph and Ian contacted me ten days before they were planning to get married. A true elopement. Just them and their two witnesses and 50+ guest from around the world via Zoom. Two cameras and two computers made sure everyone could see what was happening and kept me on my toes navigating the many cables and wires. In Scotland, Stephs Nieces, the two flower girls preceded her from their own living room. The ceremony might have been virtual but the feelings were very real and present. During the receiving line after the ceremony everyone had a moment with Ian and Steph to wish them well. (my view finder kept fogging up from the mask and my welling tears). After a few sips of Bubbly just myself and the newly weds went for a short walk to capture them amongst the idilic back drop that is the Blaeberry valley. We were blessed with warmer weather and our views of the Rocky Mountains and the Purcells were not disappointing. A very heart warming example of what people will do to make sure their loved ones can be apart of their wedding during these different times. Love can not be contained in one room, it knows no boundaries, and it is free to share.
