Elopement @ Cathedral Mountain Lodge

Cathedral Mountain Lodge is in Yoho National Park B.C is an amazing location for an elopement. It is a long ways away from Aly and Brandons home in Pennsylvania. They both love the mountains in the west and when searching for a location to elope in the Rocky Mountains, Cathedral Mountain Lodge caught their eye. Situated just minutes from Field B.C. on the Kicking Horse River it offers an amazing ceremony location next to the rushing Kicking Horse River river. The towering Mt Stephan, Cathedral and Mt Field were a few of the rocky witnesses to their quaint nuptials. A 4 pm ceremony allowed a couple hours before dinner to adventure to a few different locations.
We were fortunate that Takakka Falls opened the day before so we took the beautiful drive up the valley. Stopping occasionally to snap a few shots along the river. Aly and Brandon were really keen to go to the natural bridge and take pictures along side the idilic, turquoise Kicking Horse River. We were fortunate to have timed it after the daily flood of on lookers and found a location were the newly weds could have a moment lost in the white noise of the passing river.  As we drove back to Cathedral Mountain Lodge the sun was setting behind the mountains. Its last rays diapering from the valley added to the all ready stunning view of the whole valley. I could not resist.
The newlyweds had a few more days of exploring and sightseeing in the Parks  before they fly home. They have told me they have all ready planned another trip back.

I am looking forward to many more elopements in the Yoho park this summer with such adventurous souls as these two.

Aly had her  hair and make up done at the Chateau Lake Louise while Brandon went for a walk to the back of the lake. Where he was fortunate enough to see a mama bear and her cub.
