The Eagles Eye Restaurant at the top of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort was the location for Vanessa and Collins wedding. A slight hold up of the officiant led to a tiny change in events and the couple decided to have a reveal before the ceremony. This worked well and they both were able to enjoy their guests before the ceremony.
Surrounded by much love from thirty of their closest friends, family and their children Collin and Vanessa recited their vows. Making the journey from London Ontario to the top of a mountain in Golden B.C. is no small feat and anything can happen on top of mountain in March. But on this day it was the sunshine that blessed everyones faces during the ceremony. All the guests were in awe of the amazing views of the Purcell mountains and the Columbia Valley with the Rocky Mountains rising up in the distance. They were able to enjoy it more will sipping Champagne on the sun drenched patio after the ceremony. The restraunt prepared a delicious dinner and then there was, of course, a dance party afterwards to celebrate the newlyweds.
Before I left I wanted to capture Vanessa and Collin under the stars, they braved the chilly night air on the patio above the mountains for one last portrait. An alll this on a Monday.
What Venessa and Collin had to say
Amy was simply fantastic! She was flexible with our schedule and our wishes. The best part about working with her is that she was super fun and obviously loves her craft. We absolutely loved all of her photos. The hardest part now is picking the ones we want to frame. Thanks Amy!!!
Amy was the photographer at our recent wedding. She is by far the coolest photographer I have ever worked with. She is a lover of the art of photography. We did not feel like she was working, rather it felt ike she was in our moment and capturing it as her passion. We have only seen a few images of what she has captured so far but have been so impressed I felt I had to comment. That you Amy, we cannot wait for the rest.
