Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park is a stunning venue to get married at. Simona and Tim and many of their guests traveled all the way from Chicago to be surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and celebrate this union. Of course in the mountains the weather can change very quickly. It rained while Simona got ready and Tim and the boys hot tubbed then cleared just in time for the ceremony, Their nuptials were adjudicated by a close friend of theirs from Boulder Colorado who has a very strong connection with them and made it so much more intimate. Part of the ceremony was painting on a blank canvas together something I had not seen before but thought was fun and unique, they as well incorporated some Romanian traditions that came from Simonas heritage. The wrappning together in a shawl and eating a boiled egg. Simona and Tim a lotted two hours for photos between ceremony and dinner while their guests had cocktails at the lodge. This gave us plenty of time to go to the Natural Bridge for portraits and walk around the lake just as the lighting was hitting the tops of the mountains. The reception was upstairs in the lodge in a beautifully decorated dinning room where the guests enjoyed an exquisite 5 course meal. They had desert, fresh air and stars on the patio overlooking Emerald Lake. The dance floor was full when I left the party. Much to celebrate.
I had the pleasure of working with videographer Elora from Elora Brden Creative. I look forward to seeing how she captured their day.
What Simona & Tim had to say…
We don’t know where to start with how pleased we were to have Amy with us on our day. Amy was able to be there with us the entire day and was versatile with each location we shot. Amy’s ability to capture the moment in each shot was perfect and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. Amy herself was a pleasure to be with, she not only kept us smiling through the photos, but was extremely professional as well. We know there are many options when it comes to photographers, but we can assure you that there will be no disappointment when it comes to Amy.
