Sarah and Jason both grew up in Golden where they attended school together. They hung out a bit and Sarah remembers Jason always looking out for her like an older brother. Having a few years between them their lives went in different directions at different times. Sarah reached out to Jason years later when she heard his father wasn’t well (he is doing great now). It had been almost a decade since they had seen each other. When they met up the chemistry was strong and a spark ignited a fire. A fire I saw with these two when I met them to take their engagements, and definitely witnessed the heat on their wedding day.
They had their ceremony at Sarahs Moms house overlooking the Columbia wet lands and the Purcell mountains in Golden B.C.The smokey skies from the B.C. wildfires created a smouldering back drop for the love birds as the recited their vows. We captured family portraits at the property and then moved to the reception at the Golden Seniors centre. There was a fabulous home cooked dinner and a bar hosted by the Rotary Club. Their celebration was well under way when I headed out the door. I am sure it went into the morning hours.
What Sarah & Jason had to say….
