Alaina and Will were high school sweethearts who grew up in Golden B.C. They chose to be close to home and to have their celebration at the Golden Adventure ECO Ranch. The day was hazy from the surrounding B.C. wild fires and that kinda obscured the mountains. Just like the day I met these two this winter. We were taking their engagements at Alainas families ranch. It was a snowy day by the Columbia river and we had hopes of capturing the surrounding Purcell Mountains but that didn’t happen. The haze did add some nice tones to the photos and depth to the mountains but the true focus was definitely on the love birds.
They had their ceremony in front of the old barn which was a great back drop and some much needed shade on this scorcher of a day. Dinner was put on by Kicking Thyme Catering (one of their last weddings as they are moving onto other opportunities). It was served upstairs at the ranch and the dance party was held down stairs , where it was much cooler. Desert was provided by the very talented Brenda Shuck of ‘I Do Cakes’. Sound and Music was provided by DJ Mihajic Touch of Golden Delicious which I am sure she had the dance floor full. Thank you for a great day Alaina and Will, all the best!
What Alaina & Will had to say…
Will and I received our wedding pictures. We couldn’t be more happy with them. It’s nice to see our love for each other captured through your pictures. It’s also nice to see that you captured a few “funnies” and sent them our way, it really captures our family dynamic. It was so lovely to work with you, and sometimes we didn’t even know you were there taking pictures, some of those are my favorites.
Amy is amazing to work with, Will and I couldn’t of asked for a better person to have capture our day. We look forward to working with Amy for future projects! Thank you Amy for all that you do, and thank you for capturing our day.
