August in the Mountains can not get any better than this. Until you add to Sheena and Derek with their vibrant energy and crazy hot love for each other. Then you have a pure alpine chemistry.
Sheena and Derek love coming to Kicking Horse Mountain in the winter where they have shared so many good and crazy runs together. Sharing adventures is how they fell in love. So of course they needed to share this amazing place with the friends and family who they adore.
A very quaint ceremony on the Eagle Eye Restaurant patio overlooking the amazing Purcell Mountains had all the guests awe struck. The mountain weather was typical and very moody, with a bit of sunshine and moderate winds. An ideal day in the alpine for champagne toasts and adventuring.
After the ceremony and the family portraits I got to chase the newly weds around the mountain with their bridal party. Sheena and Derek were keen to go just about anywhere on the Mountain, so we did. After climbing around from one peak to another everyone was pretty thirsty. Yeah for champagne. And cigars. Why not? It’s their wedding day. The party was going to continue at the Winston Lodge where the reception was being held.
