Esther and Simon made the long journey from the UK to be married at Emerald Lake Lodge. A very intimate ceremony above the lake with their daughter Emma as brides maid, ring barer and over all support. The Rocky Mountains had a fresh dusting of snow and the trees have just started to change color, a very stunning back drop for their quaint nuptials. We had a great time taking portraits after their vows were said. These two were having a lot of ‘firsts’ on their holiday, so when I suggested taking a canoe out they were more than happy to give it a try. The fabulous Canadian things they witnessed in the first day was more than anyone would hope for in a lifetime living here. They were fortunate to see a moose wadding in Emerald Lake, an Osprey catching a fish, a black bear and to top it off the Northern Lights blessed the sky the night before they wed. Esther and Simon wanted pictures at the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park a 5 minute drive from Emerald Lake. The waterfall is a gorgeous glacier blue this time of year. The couple had a photo in mind they wanted to capture. Simon had made a string of cans to tie to his ruck sack. I found the perfect location to capture this last portrait. We said goodbye and these two kept traveling around B.C. for another two weeks and unfortunately Emma had to go back to school in England.
